On the third day of a full-scale military invasion in Ukraine by Russia, Sunday, 27 February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi had informed in his Twitter account: Ukraine has officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation to the UN International Court of Justice sitting in Hague.
Besides that, Prosecutor Karim A.A. Khan from the International Criminal Court (ICC) made a statement, saying he wants to start investigating the situation in Ukraine as soon as possible.
On March 2, after 39 countries had made the corresponding appeal, the collection of proof started. Therefore, it is vital to collect information on each war crime committed by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory, fast and specific.
A war crime is a violation that involves the killing or wounding of civilians, destroying or seizure of civil property, violating the rights of prisoners of war.
